Who is responsible

The dance studio you book with decides which classes, prices and rules apply to you and uses the platform to run them. For your bookings and attendance the studio and the platform operator each look after the data they need for that.

What we collect

  • Account: your name, e-mail address, language and a password (stored only as a one-way hash).
  • Studio membership: which studios you belong to and your role there; for teachers, the name and short text shown on the studio's pages.
  • Bookings and attendance: the classes and courses you booked, waitlisted or cancelled, and whether you attended.
  • Orders and payments: what you bought, the amounts, and the payment and refund status. Card details are entered at Stripe and never reach us.
  • Videos: videos a studio publishes may show people who gave their consent; we keep who uploaded each video.
  • Devices (mobile app): the device name, system and app version of each signed-in device, and, only if you turn notifications on, the push token of that device (sent through Expo, Apple and Google to show you a notification).
  • Technical data: the IP address and time of important actions such as sign-in, refunds and account deletion, and error reports needed to keep the service running.
  • E-mails: a log of which service e-mails (verification, password reset, receipts, reminders) were sent to you.

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a longer-lived one if you choose "stay signed in". We do not use advertising or tracking cookies and we do not send marketing e-mail.

Why we use it

To run your account, your bookings and payments, to send the e-mails that belong to them, to keep the service secure, and to meet our legal duties such as keeping accounting records. We do not sell your data.

Who processes it

We use these kinds of providers, each under a data processing agreement: hosting and database, e-mail delivery, payments (Stripe), video hosting and streaming, and error tracking. They process data only for us and only to provide their service.

How long we keep it

Your account data stays while your account exists. When you delete your account, your name, e-mail address, devices and teacher profile text are removed. Bookings and orders stay in the studio's records without your name, because accounting law requires financial records to be kept (often seven years). The record of important actions, including the IP address, is append-only and is kept as long as needed for security and legal claims. Video providers keep a video until the studio deletes it.

Your rights

You can see and download your data any time with Download my data, and a studio can give you the data it holds on request. You can correct your name and language in the app, delete your account from the home page, and object to or ask us to restrict processing by writing to us. We answer within one month. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, dataprotectionauthority.be) or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
